Team Building

A team building event modelled on the popular TV series "The Apprentice" and "Dragons' Den"

Staff are first shown a number of candle-making techniques.

Then teams come up with a team name and decide the type of candle they're going to make.

They work out which materials are required, calculate the costs and profit margins, agree the USPs -- then manufacture their candles and finally pitch their product and benefits to the other groups!

Prizes are awarded for best team, most innovative product and most entertaining pitch. Plus of course the teams keep the products they have made.

This is a fun, challenging exercise that covers all the essential parts of team working. It's highly unlikely that any of your colleagues are candle-makers so it's guaranteed to test their individual and team skills! This is an end-to-end business challenge, which relies on numerous tasks and skills (communication, prioritising, innovation, presenting, cooperation, etc.) that, done well, lead to the best results!

We've run team building events for the smallest of companies right through to large multinational corporations (click here to see some of the companies we've worked with and customer comments).

All our team building events are led by our company founder, Sarah Ditchfield, MCIPD, who is MBTI qualified, a professional candle-maker and published author, who has held senior HR and training roles for a number of plcs. -- ensuring your company benefits from the event not only on the day but for years to come.

We can create an event designed specifically to suit your company’s needs - for example we can incorporate Myers Briggs Personality Preference training or base the event on company themes or values.
